Privacy Policy

Effective date: 11 July 2026 · Applies to the Rouse Android application (package com.jithin.notifyer), published by Jithin Raj.

The short version

Rouse has no servers. Your calendar and task data travels directly between your device and Google. We do not collect, store, transmit, share or sell any of your data. Everything Rouse knows lives only on your phone and is deleted when you sign out or uninstall the app.

What data Rouse accesses

When you sign in with your Google account, and only after you grant permission on Google's consent screen, Rouse accesses:

• Basic profile (name, email address, profile photo) — to show which accounts are connected.
• Google Calendar events (read, and write when you create/edit/delete a meeting in the app) — to display your schedule and fire on-device reminder alarms.
• Google Tasks (read and write) — to display your tasks and sync changes you make in the app.

How that data is used

• Displaying your upcoming meetings and tasks inside the app.
• Scheduling local, on-device alarms that remind you before each meeting.
• Writing changes back to your own Google Calendar/Tasks when you create, edit, complete or delete an item in the app.

That is the complete list. Rouse does not use your data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or AI training, and never transfers it to any third party.

Where data is stored

A copy of your upcoming events and tasks is cached in the app's private storage on your device so reminders work offline and after reboots. This cache never leaves your device. Google OAuth tokens are managed by Google Play services on the device; Rouse never sees or stores your password.

Google API Services — Limited Use disclosure

Rouse's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data deletion

• In the app: Profile → "Log out of all" revokes Rouse's access to your Google account and wipes the on-device cache.
• Uninstalling the app deletes all locally stored data.
• You can also revoke Rouse's access at any time from your Google Account permissions.

Children

Rouse is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly process their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
